There was what appeared to be literal boogers on the back and on the F13 key. But it looked like it was never throughly cleaned, and likely never disinfected prior to shipping out again. Went straight to Apple and got one the same day, brand new for only a few dollars more.should have known better. Literally unboxed and re-boxed in the first 5 minutes. The Z, B, & ESC keys were not working at all. Tried to save a couple bucks by getting a refurbished keyboard, but in the end it was just a waste of time. Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2021 Given my experience, I would say there's a lot of variance in what kind of product you'll actually receive. The keyboard itself works great, and for the discounted price over new, I can make it work. (Thanks for the keyboard, Ivo!) If there's quality control going on with these, it would be generously described as lax. I received mine with scratches and goop on it, and it was still set up under someone else's name. This keyboard would be better described as 'lightly used' than any kind of certified refurbished.
